The Bug Eyed Bugger is one of the coolest little streamers to come along in years.
It is an articulated fly with the head tied on a short shank and the remainder of the body tied on a stout #2 hook. This thing has a really cool action in the water.
The head features a Fish Scull Fish Mask with big buggy eyes and behind it some marabou and rubber legs. Then, the remainder of the fly is basically a wooly bugger with a flashy body and some schlappen type hackle up front.
It’s been a while since anybody really improved up on standard wooly bugger but this fly has done it.
