Great go-to fly, east to west. The Gray Fox mayfly pattern was originated by Catskills legend Preston Jennings. Developed as an eastern fly pattern but very effective for Western tan/brown mayflies as well.
A traditional Grey Fox pattern can be used for a multitude of mid-season mayflies. This one does very well during march brown hatches in many places.
